EDUCATION IN CAMPS.
I AM YOU's operations in Greece are suspended until further notice due to Covid-19.
We offer non-formal education and a variety of activities to community members of all ages living in Ritsona refugee camp on mainland Greece. The purpose and aim of the different divisions within the program is to restore a sense of normality to people’s lives while countervailing fear, anxiety and frustration.
In a setting where the individual is often forgotten and personal dreams and goals are put on hold, we aim to nurture ambitions, talents and skills of all who wish to participate in meaningful and stimulating classes.
Early Childhood Centers
Our centres focus on the cognitive and social development of 2-3-year-olds. A crucial period for all human beings and often overlooked in this context.
Language Classes
Our Adult Education program is focused on supporting displaced adults to integrate into society as quickly as possible through language skills.
Arts
Education
We create opportunities for the artistic expression of the residents for the simple joy of recapturing that crucial sense of play in their lives.
